Homeland star Maury Sterling drops by to talk about the 70's, his acid-infused childhood and the second chance that brought him to stardom. This inspiring story of darkness turned to light will move you.
Maury was born and raised in Mill Valley, California. As a kid he loved spending time at Muir Beach with his dog Fred, riding his Mongoose and doing local theater. Growing up, he was fortunate enough to be exposed to a wide variety of artists and teachers; the likes of Joseph Campbell, Mickey Hart, the Gyoto Monks, his Holiness the Dalai Lhama, Peter Coyote, Lorna Strand and others.
Maury chose to go to UCLA to get some distance from home and take a serious stab at Los Angeles. Upon graduating, Maury dove into life as a full-time professional actor. He continued his studies at Circle in the Square in NY and ACT in San Francisco before settling back down in Los Angeles. Over the years Maury has appeared in numerous commercials, guest spots, shorts, films and tv series.
